Eryka and Lanny’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration—it was a full-on experience. Hosted on a private estate in upstate New York, their day felt like a magical blend of safari spirit, modern romance, and wild adventure, all curated with effortless style and intention.
The tone was set from the very beginning, with their stunning stationery featuring their names in bold, sweeping script and coordinates that hinted at the hidden-gem location to come. From there, the vibe unfolded beautifully: boho-meets-safari, with a color palette rooted in warm neutrals, dried florals, rattan textures, and organic elegance.
Their ceremony took place in a sunken stone amphitheater, a dramatic natural backdrop that felt both timeless and intimate. Eryka looked jaw-droppingly chic in her fitted gown and flowing veil, while Lanny was the picture of understated cool in a tan suit. The two said “I do” surrounded by pampas grass arrangements and vintage woven lanterns that brought earthy texture to the lush setting.
Vintage Land Rovers were used to transport their guests around the lavish property all while taking in the senic views and, yes – some real safari friends. A zebra and a camel made a guest appearance, much to the delight of Eryka and Lanny (and everyone else). It was wild in the best possible way and gave off elevated-glamping energy, perfectly in step with the day’s vision.
The reception was held under a cluster of luxe tipi tents, styled to the nines with layered rugs, warm wood tones, and eclectic furniture. The cocktail bar was tucked into one of the tents, its rustic wood facade adorned with tribal motifs and surrounded by lush palms. Inside, golden chandeliers made of cascading strands lit the evening with a soft glow, while guests sat down to woven charger plates, layered linen napkins, and dried botanical centerpieces that felt like a desert dream.
As the sky darkened and string lights twinkled above the dance floor, Eryka and Lanny shared their first dance as husband and wife. It was cozy, cool, and unforgettably them, an immersive escape into love, nature, and joy.
Every detail was intentional. Every moment was rooted in connection. And every photo from this wedding tells a story of two people who turned a piece of wild New York into their own personal safari under the stars.
